Descendants of Captain Henry WOODWARD

Notes

1347. Margaret SHEETS

"Jeanette Lewis" <southernlady@cableone.net>
Another change I thought you would want to make is that my grandfather's
name Samuel "Melbert" Sheets who married Ella Bess VanHoozer is really
Samuel Moses Sheets rather than Melbert. Grandmother Bess went by her
middle name Bess rather than her first name Ella.
Some dates for their family are as follows:
Samuel Moses (not Melbert) Sheets b. January 8, 1869 and d. February 19,
1943. Parents Andrew Jackson Sheets and Artimessa Shirley. Samuel married
Ella Bess VanHoozer November 8, 1907. She went by Bess and was born
December 21, 1881 and died September 19, 1965.
Margaret Sheets was born July 1, 1915 and died June, 1991.
Harry Raymond Sheets died September 18, 2007. Married Dorothy Harvey May
29, 1949 in Harrison County, MO.
Andrew Jackson Sheets died December, 1988 in Harrison County, MO.
Hugh Van Sheets was born May 16, 1911 in Harrison County, MO and died
November 14, 1994 in Los Banos, CA. He married Vera Phillips on May 16,
1936.
The 7th child of Samuel Moses and Ella Bess Sheets was Henry (not Harry) Lee
"Jiggs" Sheets born August 8, 1920 in Harrison County, MO. and died in
Flagstaff, AZ.
Robert Eugene Sheets died June, 2002 in Bethany, MO and is buried in
Eagleville, MO.
My mother Norma Sheets married Warren Elmore (not Elinore) who died November
26, 1964 in Albuquerque, N.M. Her second husband and my adopted father
Robert Lewis died April 1, 1982 in Ponca City, OK.
The Samuel Melbert Sheets was the son of Andrews Jackson Sheets and Marie
Slaughter Sheets who died in infancy on January 11, 1944. That is first and
only time Melbert name is used in the Sheets family.
Nora Sheets Skinner's husband Everett died in June, 1992.
