OBITUARY: LAWRENCE DAILY JOURNAL-WORLD

       Maude Stewart
  Mrs. Maude B. Stewart, 82, of 814 Mo., died Wednesday at the
Lawrence Manor Nursing Home.
 Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Rumsey Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Edwin F. Price officiating. Burial will be in
Oak Hill Cemetery.
 Mrs. Stewart was born in Kansas City, Mo., and spent most of her
life in Lawrence.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church
and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
  Survivors include one son, John of Prairie Village; one daughter,
Mrs. Dorothy Sterling, Rochester, N.Y., six grandchildren, and four
great-grandchildren.
 Friends may call until noon Friday at the funeral home, at which
time the casket will be closed.
