Union Infantry August 19, 1861, born 1843 age 17, illiterate, height 5'8'',
(eyes dark), (Hair dark), (complexion dark).
He reported for duty on September 22, 1861 at Camp Dick Robinson Kentucky, he
served 3 years and was discharged at Baton Rouge Louisana Oct. 5, 1864, and
transferred to the 7th Ky Vereran Volunteers.. Two of his wife Mary's brothers
James & Josiah were also in the 7th Ky. Elihu is buried in the PALMER CEMETERY
at (37o33'33"X83o37'18")
