1.  MARTIN B.4 WOODWARD  (JAMES3, JESSE2, HENRY1) was born December 12, 1812 in
Lee County Virginia, and died January 11, 1872 in Lee County Virgina.  He
married LOUISA M. MARCUM September 10, 1835 in Lee County Virgina.

Notes for MARTIN B. WOODWARD:
Martin B. Woodward purchased a new Bible when he was first married this Bible
was passed to his daughter Mary, who passed it on to her daughter Lou Ellen
Bowman-Hogan, who passed it on to her daughter Carrie Hogan-Cox, who passed it
on to a grandson Bobby Cox who at this writing has it in his possession and
lives in Lexington Ky...March 29, 2000...

  James Woodward enlisted as a Private in the Original Company A 7th Kentucky
Union Infantry August 19, 1861, born 1838 age 22, literate.
 He reported for duty on September 22, 1861 at Camp Dick Robinson Kentucky, he
served 3 years and was discharged at Louisville Kentucky Oct. 5, 1864.

1928.

1838 in Lee County Virginia, and died January 18, 1928.  She married ELIHU GREEN
BOWMAN September 1864 in Owsley County Ky., son of HENRY BOWMAN and RACHEL
PLUMMER.

Notes for MARY T. WOODWARD:
The Woodward family bible was passed through the family through Mary
to Lou Ellen Bowman, to Carrie Hogan, and is now in the possession of Carrie's
grandson Bobby Cox of Lexington Ky, 1-25-00.
All the birth dates for the Martin Woodwards, Bowman's and Hogan's were taken
from this Bible...

Notes for ELIHU GREEN BOWMAN:
  Elihu Bowman enlisted as a Private in the Original Company A 7th Kentucky
Union Infantry August 19, 1861, born 1843 age 17, illiterate, height 5'8'',
(eyes dark), (Hair dark), (complexion dark).
 He reported for duty on September 22, 1861 at Camp Dick Robinson Kentucky, he
served 3 years and was discharged at Baton Rouge Louisana Oct. 5, 1864, and
transferred to the 7th Ky Vereran Volunteers..
Two of his wife  Mary's brothers James & Josiah  were also in the 7th Ky. Elihu
is buried in the PALMER CEMETERY at (37o33'33"X83o37'18")

NEEDHAM.

4.  LOU ELLEN6 BOWMAN (MARY T.5 WOODWARD, MARTIN B.4, JAMES3, JESSE2, HENRY1)
was born March 25, 1867 in Owsley County Ky., and died March 23, 1926 in
Jefferson County Kentucky.  She married (1) DAVID HOGAN 1883 in Owsley County
Ky., son of WILLIAM HOGAN.  She married (2) ADOLPH HAMM 1900.  She married (3)
FIELDING BUSH 1917, son of W. SR. and ???.

Marriage Notes for LOU BOWMAN and DAVID HOGAN:
According to family legend most of this family died with Typhoid fever and
Carrie also had it but survived.
The four children listed were the only ones known to be living i would like to
see the 1890 Census on this family.

i. CARRIE7 HOGAN, b. February 21, 1884, Lee  County Ky; d. April 06, 1966,
Irvine Ky; m. ANDREW FRANKLIN COX, August 22, 1902, Lee  County Ky.

DENNIS, October 31, 1907, Lee County Kentucky, at home of Andy Carter.

Notes for LOU ELLEN HOGAN:
Buried in the Oakdale Cemetery, High St. Irvine Ky.
 Lou and Boone lived most of their lives at Little Sinking Ky. In later years
they moved to Irvine Ky. and lived there the rest of their lives. They had
sixteen children 12 boys and 4 girls.

iv. CLYDE R. HOGAN, b. May 19, 1895, Lee  County Ky; d. October 08, 1937, Lee
County Ky.

1874 in Owsley County Kentucky, and died January 31, 1970 in Booneville, Owsley
County Kentucky.  He married AXIE LEE BALES December 31, 1902, daughter of CALEB
BALES and MARILLA CARRIER.
